By GUSTAVO ARELLANO Thursday, Aug 21 2003My, those pita sandwiches! Non-Middle Easterners think of the pita as limited to falafel, meat and maybe hummus, and most Middle Eastern sandwich shops are content to stuff flatbread with limpid veggies and tahini sauce that reeks of glue. The Hawaris, however, are pita magicians. Take--and eat--the labneh pita, for instance. Labneh is a sort of dairy spread reminiscent of minty Philadelphia cream cheese, a cool, smooth substance that most restaurants overwhelm with meat and lettuce.Kareem's fabulous falafels--a crunchy, chocolate-brown exterior encasing a soft-as-marshmallow, grass-green interior, not oily at all--come sweating with a nutty sesame sauce.Kareem's hummus by itself is great, chilled with perfect pools of olive oil in the center and enough chili powder sprinkled around to open up the taste buds but not the sweat glands.

A super great selection of fresh healthy items to eat. I really enjoy salads, and they got tons to chose from, I haven't been in quite a while. I think I might need to go again before to long. If you leave this place hungry, it's your fault. Very reasonable prices to.

We had the afternoon tea experience at Steakhouse 55 with 3 adults and two children. We chose the Premium Tea for the adults and Children's tea for the kids. The price is steep (no pun intended) at $65 for each adult and $35 for each kid. You get sparkling wine, salad and an assortment of tea sandwiches and delicacies. And of course your choice of tea from a large selection of premium tea. Kids can get decaffeinated tea or hot chocolate. Our sever was very knowledgeable on the teas, kind and attentive. For the price we paid I wouldn't do this again however it was worth doing once for the fun experience not to mention a great way to take a break from the park. If you are celebrating a birthday or other occasion be sure to let your server know as you'll be well rewarded. The food was amazing and the Devonshire Cream is to die for! If you've eaten here before you'll know the food is top notch. Be sure to make reservations well in advance as it can fill up quickly. Unlike the other dining experiences in the park there is no rush to get you through your meal so the next group can sit. You are expected to take a good amount of time so relax and enjoy.

I love small family owned businesses. Kareem's not only has the best Falafel that I've ever tasted, but their customer service is outstanding!
